Grown up conversations.

I've never ever had that feeling "oh i feel so old"

probably in my whole life.

I have 2 older sisters,

I've never had many friends "my own age"

i married up (almost 5 years)

and at a young age.
(all these things account for me ALWAYS ALWAYS being the youngest around)
(i barely made it in the '80's guys)

So lately when i catch myself talking about Insurance rates, taxes, mutual funds and IRA's,

i realize.... I'm not so "little" anymore.

While discussing our "future" the year 2054 came up and then it hit me...OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I feel more grown up than i ever have before.

today.

its kinda like on your birthday when your dad or someone asks... 'well do you feel older??'

and usually im like nooooo.

today i do.

Also by even having this conversation (with myself .. bc thats what i feel like my blog is, conversations with myself haha) i think it made me not so grown up.

hah

oh well.

well, hey Sunday.

i love a good sunny sunday.

Hard to believe its February already.

this is always the time of year im ready to start planning a vacation.

(its been way too long)

the monotony of life lately is making a vacation look real nice.

im gonna go take a mind-cation on pinterest- see y'all later.

What I wore... and a blue door.

My weekend included, pizza, box wine,  movies,

a baby shower, cleaning house and way too much netflix.

Typical things while my husband is out of town.
oh, and like 15 trips to target.
But really.. it was so great.

this summer, (and year) is flying by so fast. 

"fall" has come up in conversation a couple of times recently and i can't believe im letting myself get excited about it!
but really, the next few months have so much goodness in store.. so many of my friends are having babies and its fun to have that to look forward to.
i love babies.
and newness, and all of the Lord's goodness.
its showing up all around.

What i wore.... hot days keep gettin' hotter...

The south sure is blazin' these days... i think it's supposed to get up to 104 on friday!!! woah.

The last thing I want to do when it is 100+ degrees outside is put clothes on. hah

I'd rather wear a bikini to run errands.. or go to work, a dress is the only way to go.

This dress was a steal for $4.98 on the Target sale rack! (and it has pockets!)

but then again they can get away with no shirt and baggy shorts too.. so thats probably just as cool.

What I wore: Welcome June

June came so soon! 

Hard to believe we are half way through this year already,

time sure does fly faster the older you get. I was having a conversation with my sister about cars.. (funny i know) and how in my head a '2000 model car' to me sounds brand new... and really its 12 years old!!! hahah puts my little old 1997 car under the "antique" label.. hahah jkjk.

The weather has been so so nice here in the south.  I thought for sure we'd miss our spring and head straight to hot and humid 90 degree days in february!! But, we've had an amazing spring.. and now we are still having some nice 75 degree days sprinkled in the hot ones! So so great, makes me happy!

Went to the monthly antique mart at Metrolina this weekend.. just to look, got some cool scissors but that's all. It just felt so nice to walk around and feel the breeze!
