Tonight we took a walk down to the market for dinner. I love our neighborhood for lots of reasons but mainly for the sheer fact we can walk to the market for a killer sandwich, wine, and free cable! Haha I ate my turkey sandwich while watching project runway.. Such a treat.
On our walk home it started to rain.
It was sweet.

This glorious.. somewhat fall-sunday-morning... I went to the Flying Biscuit for brunch with some friends. We sat on the (covered) back porch as it poured down rain.
it was perfect.

Mary Ellen having a 'sledgehammer'.. she's so brave.

Clothing Swap!

Last night was the annual 'Clothing Swap' party! it was tons of fun.. and awesome to get some new clothes.. for free... while seeing some of my own stuff being "recycled" to other girls!
Somehow/someday i would like to have an online store for swaps. How fun would that be? this- for that kindof shopping.
ill brainstorm and inspire later.
this cutie little handmade vest is one of my faves. cant wait to wear this once it gets cooler.

Really need to organize clothes, do laundry and be motivated... but im leaving that for my monday. :) for now im going to cuddle with my sleeping husband beside me.. and change football to a fall time movie.. and relax. Maybe bake something later? Loving the cooler/wet weather Charlotte brought us today! Makes me want butter beer and hogsmeade.. :)

Sunday Brunch.. on the blog later!

1 year Anniversary

I thought i'd post a few photos from our amazing honeymoon to Mexico..
kind of just to pretend we are back there again.
its was so awesome.. and relaxing.. hopefully we can go back to that resort again someday with tons of friends!!
we spent time outside of playa del carmen, & Cozumel
september is their off season.. so it was very deserted... and nothing was ever really crowded.. (even restaurants.. which looked sketchy.. but were actually awesome)

And so it began:

this photo makes me laugh a little.. because of the sling luke is wearing. Such a memory.
An ER run at 5am after the wedding.. was truly a crazy start to our married life :D
I've never run so many red lights in my life...... or used my iphone to 'google' emergency room ever before! hahah
cozumel... i wish we would have spent more than just a day there.. it was truly beautiful.. and was so scenic.. and beautiful!
i felt to awesome riding a scooter... felt just like a mary-kate and ashley movie..
we would pull over to go snorkling or swim.
ferry ride there.. on top of the boat.. water was spraying in our face so hard.. and the boat was rocking so bad... and their was a band playing 'la coo ca racha' and dave matthews songs ... this was our expression to all of the above.

we have like 78 photos like this from our trip. Luke was obsessed.
me walkin on water... no biggie.

playa del carmen.
i had gelato like every single day!!!! so goooooooood!
empty restaurant with kick-a guacamole.
one of my most FAVORITE parts of our resort... was the fact they had BEDS on the BEACH!!!! and a mini pool on our porch! both very logical and practical things.
seriously.hah

Such good times and memories :) Luke and I are going on an excursion this weekend after 1 year of marriage.. we both agreed we needed new clothes. so we are going on an adventure to make that happen.. and to visit some friends along the way!!!
ttyl.

Wedding Day (9.19.09) recap

If you ask me... our Wedding day was
exciting
magical
upbeat
sentimental
special
unforgettable

As typical as it may sound.. it really was a huge blur... so glad there are photos to remind me of little things... like Luke weeping at the altar.... who was truly breakin it down on the dance floor... and what the essence of the day looked like from someone else's eye.

I loved our wedding day.. i loved being surrounded by friends and family...
but to be honest... im glad it was a year ago.. it feels good to see how far we've come. im glad i can look back to a year ago and know it was a time when i was with luke... and we were sharing our life together already.
But i am even more excited about this next year... and many more to come... I don't think your wedding day should be the "best day" of your married life.. its just one adventure... the start of many more!
we got married in an old horse barn.. that had ben renovated.. into the most beautiful place ever!

his first look:

and mine.
this moment was truly magical.
i was balling.

Allison: she had a lot to do with Luke + Me.
this is my thank-you hug.
It was awesome having bridesmaids who doubled as super models.

i loved how Anna (our photographer) got a "group shot" of our guests.. its one of my favorite photos to look at and remember who all was there to share that day with us..

i loved this farm. it was so home-y. and made the day seem very rustic.

our "fake" tattoos in honor of my ink'd groom!

(birdseed was a huge "regret" that we have... it was the most disgusting thing ever our car/hair/and underwear were filled with birdseed!!!! and our eyes were closed the whole way thru!) hahah

These are just a few glimpses of the day... for the entire album... and more 'details' click here to view the photo gallery by Anna Naphtali Hollingsworth.

Also we were featured on Rock n Roll Bride blog last year... find that link here.
