season
I am trying not to wish away the warmth and sunshine, because Lord knows i need it to keep me sane. But I cant stop thinking about fall, and leaves, and home made soups and layers and fall time goodness!!! These pictures make me giddy for autumn. Meanwhile, I've got the fan full blast and my jean shorts on.
Happy Thursday!

dreams, thanksgiving, and goodbye fall.
There are some moments in my life, where i have no idea who i am, where im going, or what ive gotten myself into. And then there are other moments. Moments, when i feel like ive found my identity... my purpose, ive recognized the dream im trying to chase, the light at the end of my youthful tunnel. In these moments, i feel inspired, i feel motivated... by my own self, not by someone else's accomplishments, or dreams, or journey.. but of the hope of my own. I love these moments. Today is one of those times... i feel like i know what i wanna be when i grow up.
It's not so much a profession, or a place, Its an ideal, its a philosophy, its a way of life, its what my heart was made for. Now, maybe because im still young, my dreams will change, and its only natural i keep changing my mind, but i know i was created for something special, and i couldn't figure out why i have been so un-motivated with the dream i was currently fulfilling... but its because my purpose runs much deeper. The pages turn, the seasons change, its required to stay interesting.
I'm speaking tacitly, because i feel like its a treasure im keeping for my heart.. i want to protect it. It seems to big to talk nonchalantly about, yet so fitting- it wont surprise most.
And for that, i am thankful.
I am thankful for a God that inspires, and instills creativity in my soul.
Who gives me dreams, and desires.
thankyou.

Thank Goodness.
Well, i figured, what better time to write a thankful post than while im waiting to take my pumpkin pie out of the oven!
Its 12:43 am on thanksgiving morning.
(yes, i waited til super late to start making some preparations.. but hey, atleast i got some things started!)
This year, i am thankful for so much. I am so very blessed in my life, with amazing family and friends, a nice home, job, community an amazing husband, who loves me, in-laws who aren't crazy, a sister home safe from Korea, another sister getting married next week a family who loves the Lord, heat in my home, a turkey for thanksgiving.
and many more things.
i love this time of year, because i am reminded that change is beautiful, and family is dear, and what really makes me feel at home, is love and good food.
So here is to the Indians and Pilgrims for being an example to us all, and showing us that sharing is caring, and when you bring everyone together to eat, its bound to be a good time!
Cheers
side notes:
1.Hosting my first thanksgiving makes me feel a little bit more "adult" than i ever have before!
2.i wish i had table settings like martha stewart
3.i seriously cant wait to watch the parade!

Asheville&Sufjan
Our trip to Asheville yesterday was a grand success! it was beautiful. I realize now, after reviewing my photos from the day, that all we really did was drink coffee. Which was fine by me.
I hadn't been to Asheville in so long, and it truly is a gem of a town.
i love it.
(the dripolator coffee shop in black mountain)
(the cutest single cappuccino's)
(another coffee shop before we went to the show. Best mint latte ive ever had!)
Sufjan was: incredible.
to be completely honest.. i had only really heard the new album as background noise a time or two... so i really had no idea what i was in for.
2 drummers, 3 backup dancers, silver pants, lazer lights, robot imagry, it was like American apparel and an 80's video game had a baby, so visually and audibly stimulating, and not to mention the best dance moves ever.
the encore they all changed into their normal attire and played all of our favorites.
it was perfect.
overall #asheville2010 was awesome.

Cozy flowers.
Hello NOVEMBER:

What a great weekend!
Halloween is one of my favorite holidays.. Although, this year i feel like i didn't pay it as much attention as i usually do. I really am just excited for this new month, and and new holidays, Thanksgiving and Christmas!!! so many exciting things happening the next 2 months! It's hard to believe its November 1st, but im sooo excited that its here!
Today has felt so cozy, and holiday-like.. that ive had the urge to wrap gifts and decorate a tree... (couldn't do either).
Also, my man comes home tomorrow.. from a month long tour, and i am so excited. Like it's Christmas morning!
Today i've spent my day off doing crafts, drinking coffee, and baking carrots&sweet potatoes (my fave)
This evening i had dinner at Mary Ellen's and we drank our favorite sparkling wine (Lumbresca) and made dinner and cookies. Always a good time :)
Just watched the end of the World Series... :( so sad the Rangers lost. Luke was at the game, and for his sake.. (and mine) i wish they would've won.. :(
sighh...
oh well,
Hope you all have a great week!
I'll leave you with this:
a jar full of peonies.. so beautiful.

oh Hey October!
hello:
Hard to believe October is already a week deep.
I've really enjoyed the cooler weather... and crisp nights!
pumpkin flavored -everything.... new baking endeavors.. Mums, and just the newness of seasons.. on earth.. and in my heart.
This week has definitely been a different kind of living... considering my man has been gone since tuesday... and wont be back til November!!!!!! Im living life like a bachelor. And by bachelor i mean... like sometimes i eat cereal for breakfast lunch and dinner... hah
Thankfully i have sweet friends who have fed me, and entertained me all week... i only had one night alone... and that was last night.. and i still accidentally saw friends :)
for example: Taco Night at Mary Ellen's!! so much fun... home made margaritas.. and fun talks.
this is me and Thermon.... Mary Ellen's pup... i send photos of dogs to luke like every day... (im like the 12 year old.. trying to prove to her parents that she can really handle the responsibility of a pet! hah)
Luke is on quite the adventure these days..... waking up in a new state every morning.. i envy him just a bit. But am there in spirit!
Its so crazy how fast time is flying... there are so many exciting things happening in the next few months!!!!! and 2011 is going to be out of control!!!! sighhh.... life is fun.
things to look forward to:
Halloweeeeeeen

But for now, im going to enjoy every ounce of my weeks in october... even if its without my partner in crime...
