What i wore.... hot days keep gettin' hotter...

The south sure is blazin' these days... i think it's supposed to get up to 104 on friday!!! woah.

The last thing I want to do when it is 100+ degrees outside is put clothes on. hah

I'd rather wear a bikini to run errands.. or go to work, a dress is the only way to go.

This dress was a steal for $4.98 on the Target sale rack! (and it has pockets!)

Fashion Friday: Inspiration & budget shopping.

so, i love neutrals.
mostly because its what i can wear for work... so i embraced it long ago and would rather pick a black/grey/white/tan shirt over a red one ANY DAY.

My favorite thing about fashion is in my eyes you've never arrived, you're always traveling there.

one week im crazy about one thing.. and the next its something new.

Since i was a teenager i collected magazine adds, articles photos and kept them in a trapper keeper for inspiration. Pinterest makes it easier and more accessible these days so i love browsing and finding inspiration when im lost while getting ready in the morning. (am i the only one who does this?)  One of my favorite things to do is find a look for less.  Because my style is always evolving.. its fun to find certain 'look a likes' to get me through without breaking the bank.

i love quality and nice brands and things, but with my 'budget' these days i have to be pick and choose what i want to invest in.

So.

Scooter rides...

 So since we recently got a cute little vino scooter it has been my goal to be able to take it for a (safe) ride!  My first attempt was pretty funny/scary, somehow missed my turn and was riding on a center median on a busy street! HAH so embarrassing!  So when Luke wanted to go for another ride together the other day i nervously agreed, but made him promise we'd have some neighborhood practice before i went on the real streets.

We borrowed our friend/neighbors ride and went on a little scooter adventure.

Im not gonna lie... Im getting so good.

there were a couple of times i passed Luke and led the way!  We rode all around, then stopped at a greenway outside downtown and took some pictures by a huge mirror ball... :)
its no chicago.. but it was cute.. and mini and a fun place to take pics.

Im excited for many more fun rides on our little scooter:)

What I wore: Welcome June

June came so soon! 

Hard to believe we are half way through this year already,

time sure does fly faster the older you get. I was having a conversation with my sister about cars.. (funny i know) and how in my head a '2000 model car' to me sounds brand new... and really its 12 years old!!! hahah puts my little old 1997 car under the "antique" label.. hahah jkjk.

The weather has been so so nice here in the south.  I thought for sure we'd miss our spring and head straight to hot and humid 90 degree days in february!! But, we've had an amazing spring.. and now we are still having some nice 75 degree days sprinkled in the hot ones! So so great, makes me happy!

Went to the monthly antique mart at Metrolina this weekend.. just to look, got some cool scissors but that's all. It just felt so nice to walk around and feel the breeze!
