Thank Goodness.

Well, i figured, what better time to write a thankful post than while im waiting to take my pumpkin pie out of the oven!
Its 12:43 am on thanksgiving morning.
(yes, i waited til super late to start making some preparations.. but hey, atleast i got some things started!)
This year, i am thankful for so much. I am so very blessed in my life, with amazing family and friends, a nice home, job, community an amazing husband, who loves me, in-laws who aren't crazy, a sister home safe from Korea, another sister getting married next week a family who loves the Lord, heat in my home, a turkey for thanksgiving.
and many more things.

i love this time of year, because i am reminded that change is beautiful, and family is dear, and what really makes me feel at home, is love and good food.
So here is to the Indians and Pilgrims for being an example to us all, and showing us that sharing is caring, and when you bring everyone together to eat, its bound to be a good time!

Cheers

side notes:
1.Hosting my first thanksgiving makes me feel a little bit more "adult" than i ever have before!
2.i wish i had table settings like martha stewart
3.i seriously cant wait to watch the parade!

Color::Crush

Teal & Mustard
new color crush this week, blues and golds. like a romantic and whimsical version of fire and ice.
I love these colors in the kitchen, in living spaces, in wardrobes, and anywhere i can find it!
Here are some favorite looks and inspiration.

obsessed with these chairs & ottoman, meets all my requirements, stylish, modern, rustic, homey, conversational, plush, comfy & cool
these are the 2 colors i have been wanting to paint our 2 bathrooms. this photo above is my favorite shade. and a soft mustard for our bathroom.
(eventually)
felt super inspired by my teal fingernails, and wore these sassy mustard accessories this week!
its like fall leaves and a fall sky.
:)
love love.

Asheville&Sufjan

Our trip to Asheville yesterday was a grand success! it was beautiful. I realize now, after reviewing my photos from the day, that all we really did was drink coffee. Which was fine by me.
I hadn't been to Asheville in so long, and it truly is a gem of a town.
i love it.
(a necessary boot day)
(the dripolator coffee shop in black mountain)
(the cutest single cappuccino's)
(another coffee shop before we went to the show. Best mint latte ive ever had!)

Sufjan was: incredible.
to be completely honest.. i had only really heard the new album as background noise a time or two... so i really had no idea what i was in for.
2 drummers, 3 backup dancers, silver pants, lazer lights, robot imagry, it was like American apparel and an 80's video game had a baby, so visually and audibly stimulating, and not to mention the best dance moves ever.
the encore they all changed into their normal attire and played all of our favorites.
it was perfect.
overall #asheville2010 was awesome.

he's back.

My bff is home.
netflix nights and couch cuddling is back in full effect.
we went to get milkshakes down the street the other night.
mint chocolate chip shakes are my fave.
Here are iphone photos to prove this story.

Cozy flowers.

Hello NOVEMBER:

What a great weekend!
Halloween is one of my favorite holidays.. Although, this year i feel like i didn't pay it as much attention as i usually do. I really am just excited for this new month, and and new holidays, Thanksgiving and Christmas!!! so many exciting things happening the next 2 months! It's hard to believe its November 1st, but im sooo excited that its here!
Today has felt so cozy, and holiday-like.. that ive had the urge to wrap gifts and decorate a tree... (couldn't do either).
Also, my man comes home tomorrow.. from a month long tour, and i am so excited. Like it's Christmas morning!

Today i've spent my day off doing crafts, drinking coffee, and baking carrots&sweet potatoes (my fave)
This evening i had dinner at Mary Ellen's and we drank our favorite sparkling wine (Lumbresca) and made dinner and cookies. Always a good time :)

Just watched the end of the World Series... :( so sad the Rangers lost. Luke was at the game, and for his sake.. (and mine) i wish they would've won.. :(
sighh...
oh well,
Hope you all have a great week!

I'll leave you with this:
a jar full of peonies.. so beautiful.
